Sometimes you're ready to pay before the system is. Maybe you've reviewed the footage and want to close things out. Or maybe you manage several businesses on one account and need to control which card gets charged. The Pay Invoice Now button gives you that control.

How invoice payments normally work

Here's the standard process, so you know what changes with this feature.

When your pilot finishes a job, they mark it complete. From there:

● You get 2 days to review the deliverables.

● After 2 days, your invoice processes automatically at 5PM EST.

● The charge goes to the card on file.

That's the automatic path. It still works exactly as described. Pay Invoice Now simply lets you skip the wait when you're ready.

Step 1: Open your completed job

Log in to your Droners.io dashboard and open the job with the invoice you want to pay. The job needs to be marked complete for a pending invoice to appear.

There are two ways to reach the invoice from here.

Through the Invoices tab. On the job page, click Invoices. This takes you straight to the invoice.

Through the chat. If you're already messaging your pilot, click the Invoices tab inside the chat page.

Both paths lead to the same place.

Step 2: Review and pay the invoice

Once you're on the invoice page, you'll see the Pay Invoice Now button.

Before you click, you can view the full invoice up front. Check the amount and confirm everything looks right. When you're ready, click Pay Invoice Now and confirm. The Pay Now option disappears once payment goes through and the invoice shows as paid.

Step 3: Delay the payment if the footage isn't right

Not happy with the deliverables yet? You don't have to pay. On the invoice page, you'll also see an option to delay the payment by 2 extra days. Use this if you need more time to review the footage or sort out an issue with your pilot. This gives you breathing room without any charge going through early.

You don't have to use this feature

Pay Invoice Now is optional. There's no urgency and no penalty for skipping it.

If you do nothing, your invoice still processes automatically 2 days after the job is marked complete. The button is simply there for when you want to pay sooner.
