Uploading your portfolio is one of the best ways to showcase your work on Droners.io. It gives potential clients a clear view of your skills and the types of projects you've completed.

This guide covers everything you need to know about uploading photos and videos, organizing your portfolio, and presenting your work professionally.

Step 1: Navigate to your portfolio section

Log in to your Droners.io account and go to your profile dashboard. From there:

  • Click Edit Profile in the top navigation or profile menu.

  • Scroll down to the Portfolio section.

  • Select Add Media to begin uploading your work.

If you're setting up your profile for the first time, this section will be empty. That is your starting point.

Step 2: Upload your photos and videos

Droners.io supports both photo and video uploads.

Here is what to keep in mind as you go:

For photos:

  • Upload high-resolution images only. Blurry or low-quality shots will work against you.

  • Use JPG or PNG file formats where possible.

  • Avoid over-edited images that do not reflect your actual output.

For videos:

  • You can upload video files directly or link to hosted content on YouTube or Vimeo.

  • Keep individual clips short and well edited. Clients do not need to watch a 10-minute reel to form an impression.

  • Make sure your best footage appears in the first 30 seconds.

Upload as you go, but do not publish until you have reviewed each file. A single low-quality upload can weaken the rest of your work.

Step 3: Organize and present your work effectively

Once your files are uploaded, take a few minutes to arrange them deliberately. The order matters.

  • Lead with your strongest work. Clients rarely scroll all the way through a portfolio, so do not save the best for last.

  • Group by project type where possible. Real estate shots together, construction documentation together, inspections together. This makes it easier for a client to quickly confirm you have relevant experience.

  • Remove anything that does not reflect your current standard. An older shot that felt impressive two years ago may now be pulling your portfolio down. Cut it.

  • Aim for quality over quantity. Relevant samples will always make a stronger impression than fifteen mixed ones.

Step 4: Tips for showcasing work that attracts the right clients

Once your portfolio is uploaded, take a few extra minutes to make sure it presents your work clearly. The tips below can help you create a portfolio that's easy for clients to browse and understand.

  • Match your portfolio to your target work. If you are focused on commercial real estate, your portfolio should be full of property photography, aerial walkthroughs, and site overviews. If you specialize in construction documentation or infrastructure inspections, show that. Clients are looking for pilots who understand their industry, not generalists with a wide variety of unrelated shots.

  • how the full picture where you can. A before-and-after sequence, a full property walkthrough, or a time-lapse of a construction site gives clients a better sense of how you work, not just what your images look like.

  • Keep it current. Update your portfolio as your work improves. If you have recently taken on a high-profile project or upgraded your equipment, add the new work. An outdated portfolio can cost you jobs you are fully qualified to do.

  • Think about the client’s perspective. A real estate agent reviewing your portfolio is asking one question: “Can this pilot make my listing look great?” Answer that question as directly as you can with what you choose to show.

Your portfolio and your reviews are the two factors clients weigh most. Put real time into both.
