Droners.io has a flat 10% fee taken from each completed job and here's exactly how it works.
This is a commission fee for connecting you with clients. It covers the platform, the marketplace and the tools you use to find work. You only pay it when you get paid.
How it's calculated
The service fee is 10% of your bid amount regardless of the total value of the job.
When it's deducted
The commission comes out automatically when the job is paid. You don't invoice it or pay it separately.
Here's the order it happens in:
You mark the job complete.
The client reviews and the payment processes.
Droners.io takes its 10%.
The remaining 90% goes to your payout method.
What this means for your bids
Since 10% comes off the top, factor it into your price. Price the work fairly and the fee becomes just another line in your numbers.
A couple of things to keep in mind:
Multi-flight jobs: The 10% applies to each flight as it's paid, not the project as a whole.
Deposits: If your bid includes a deposit, the commission still applies to the full job total.
